After I exited, the game took me to a screen where the only thing I could interact with was a guy named Greg. The second one was when I exited out of the video of Maya doing “yoga” (located in the computer files). The first one was where you had to talk to Mina- I had all of her evidence but the game apparently didn’t register the cue for allowing me to interact with her. I have encountered several game breaking bugs that have hindered my playing experience and left me with an empty feeling as I had to exit the app and make a whole new game. it’s a great, immersive, and spine chilling game IF it can be run smoothly. I love the story and the way the game is structured.
LauraMaes - Great story and gameplay- Terrible bugs Very frustrating, but overall a fun experience. Some of the problems were confusing and not explained well at all, and in the middle of solving them, the game would glitch or kick me out and I’d have to start over again. In some of the most crucial situations like the final talk with the rippleman, I got booted out of the game in the middle, making me go back to the beginning all over again. But this game could have used a lot more patching up. I get that the development team is doing everything in their power to fix it and they had a timeframe. There were less scares, (I only really thought the background got scary) the acting wasn’t great, and most of all, the glitches. It was a sort of copy and paste of the first game but this time, social media presence is the main focus rather than a dating app. The story wasn’t as great and it had that “social media is the devil” vibe to it. Resident Evil 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.I finished the game about 5 minutes ago and while the overall story was okay, the first game was much better.
For all the reasons above, we definitely recommend that Resident Evil 2 players get the game's true ending before ending their time with it. Going through the effort of getting the true ending will also better prepare Resident Evil 2 players when they attempt their S rank runs, as they will be more familiar with the game world and where to find certain items. This way players can jump around to whichever scenarios they want to clean up any lingering achievements/trophies or relive some of their favorite Resident Evil 2 moments. Getting the true ending will also give players access to all four main campaign scenarios without having to replay through them again. If players manage to beat The 4th Survivor mode, they are then treated to an additional bonus mode where they play as a walking chunk of Tofu armed with only a knife. Besides a chance to see the true ending and unlock the Broken Umbrella achievement/trophy, completing the 2nd Run playthrough is worth it for other reasons as well.Ĭompleting the 2nd Run playthrough in Resident Evil 2 unlocks The 4th Survivor bonus mode, which is the game mode where Umbrella operative HUNK is playable. Once they've wrapped up their 2nd Run playthrough, Resident Evil 2 players should see the game's true ending. So for example, if players beat the game with Leon first, they would then unlock the Claire B scenario and vice versa.
From here, players can start a new game with the character they didn't choose initially, which counts as their "B" scenario. When that's done, some new options will show up in the main menu, including an option for a 2nd Run playthrough. This counts as the "A" scenario for whichever character players selected. To get the true ending in Resident Evil 2, players first need to beat the campaign once with either Leon S.
For any Resident Evil 2 fans who want to get the true ending and unlock the Broken Umbrella achievement/trophy, here is how to do it, but be warned that it can't be done in the first playthrough. Like with past Resident Evil games, Resident Evil 2 has multiple endings, but there is only one finale that is actually considered the "true" ending for the game.
